ROEE SAREL

I am a post-doctoral research associate at the Institute of Law and Economics, University of Hamburg and a lecturer at the Northern Institute of Technology.
My research focuses on economic and legal questions with real-world implications and employs diverse methodologies, including game-theoretical models, empirical analyses and experimental economics.
I earned a Doctorate in Economics from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and an MBA (Finance and Banking) & LL.B from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. My research is further driven by my background as an associate lawyer of Banking &
Litigation at Yigal Arnon & Co and as a Blockchain entrepreneur.
Recently, I won an award for best paper presented by a young scholar at the 2019 annual meeting of the German Law & Economics Association.
